Student Selection Tools
I thought I'd share some ipad apps I use in my classroom to grouping and random student selection.
NameSelector (free) is the first app. Once you add your students' names you just click the hat.
It selects a random student!
Decide Now! ($0.99) is another app where you can add your names and it creates a wheel (like Wheel of Fortune). Just click the center of the wheel and it spins around and stops on a name.
Pikme (free) is a great app for creating groups with your students.
After entering your names it lets you choose how many groups you would like to have or how many students you want in each group (the other number adjusts accordingly).
Then click create and the app shows you a list of groups!
